Professor Bedwyn walked into the classroom, hearing the excited chatter of students. She came to the front of the room and cleared her throat to quiet everyone. "My name is Professor Morgaine Bedwyn, but you my call me Professor B if you like." she smiled, remembering that it was only a few years ago when she was sitting in these same seats. "I'm supposing you all have your books? We are going to have a small, 5 question quiz. Just so I can see where you are. It's an open book quiz, by the way." she added, passing out papers. Care of Magical Creatures Quiz 1. What British/Irish water demon prefers to take the form of a horse with bulrushes for a mane?
2. What is supposedly the most dangerous breed of dragon?
3. Which creature originated in Greece and has the head of an eagle and the body of a lion?
4. What creature resembles the human form and is covered in thick black hair? (They are rather annoying in my opinion, if that helps at all.)
5. Which creature originated in Greece and has the head and forequarters of a horse, but the tail and hindquarters of a fish? (Seems that a lot of things originate in Greece, doesn't it?)"You are free to go after you turn in your quiz." she said pleasantly, sitting at her desk.

Moira looked down at her quiz below and filled out the answers to the best of her ability. When she was finished, she looked around at the other students and saw that not many of them had finished quite yet. She got up from her desk and put her quiz on Professor Bedwyn's desk.

Professor Bedwyn waited for all of the quizzes to be turned in and waved a farewell to the students. "Tomorrow we are going to learn about Gnomes....start small and boring now, but get bigger and better through the year. Our fifth unit will be winged horses and unicorns!" she shouted as the kids left. Looking down at the quizzes, she noticed a particularily bright student named Angel. The only question he got wrong was 4...she was looking for doxy, but banshee would work too.
